Luraio and AppClose.

Both work when the other parent isn't on the app. AppClose puts every co-parenting tool in one plan. Luraio focuses on the week ahead and the people around the kids.

Who each one is best for

Choose AppClose if

You want records, calls, expenses and payments all in one flat-priced plan. Its messages can't be edited or deleted, it offers certified business records in the US, and its Solo Mode reaches a parent who isn't on the app. If you need records for court or things are high-conflict, AppClose, OurFamilyWizard or TalkingParents will likely serve you better than Luraio.

Choose Luraio if

You want help with the schedule, swaps, handoffs and the kids' details, and you want a partner, grandparents and sitters to see just their part. Luraio is free during the beta, and always free for the other parent.

We make Luraio, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about AppClose below comes from its own site and is linked. If something here is out of date, write to [email protected] and we'll fix it.

The main differences

When the other parent isn't on it. Both apps handle this. AppClose's Solo Mode sends requests, events and expenses by text or email, with links that expire after 10 days. On Luraio the other parent answers a swap by link, and the rest of the app works the same with or without them.

Records and calls. AppClose has recorded calls, certified records and payments. Luraio has none of those; it keeps a printable record of what happened and a copy of your data.

Everyone else. Both let others in. On Luraio, a partner, grandparents and a sitter each get their own view, and a sitter's link ends when the stay does.
