Records for court

If you need records for court, use an app built for it.

Some families need a documented record a judge can rely on: messages that can't be changed, certified records, recorded calls. Luraio isn't built for that, and we'd rather say so up front. We chose to help you be a great parent, not to manage the conflict between parents.

How we checked

We make Luraio, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about the apps below comes from that company's own site, help center or App Store listing, and is linked. Prices come only from each company's own pricing page. Everything was checked on November 3, 2026. We're not lawyers, and whether a court accepts a record from any app depends on your court. Ask your attorney.

Apps built for court records

Each of these is built around documentation. Which one fits depends on what your order requires and whether the other parent will join.

  • Works if the other parent never joins: No Both parents' accounts need to be matched before either can start. Source

TalkingParents

When we checked, TalkingParents' pricing page and its help center listed different plan names and prices, so we're not quoting a number. Both say each parent has their own account, and upgrading one doesn't upgrade the other.

Where Luraio fits

Not a court app. But you'll have a clear record of what you did.

Luraio is built around the week ahead. Along the way, it keeps an honest, dated account of the parenting you're already doing, which you can save and share whenever you need to.

Your record, built from what you did

A dated timeline, newest first, that builds itself from what you already do in the app: swaps you asked for and how they were answered, pickups and drop-offs, shared costs, and changes to the kids' details, like a new doctor or a new shoe size. Each line says who did it, how (in the app, by link, or recorded by you) and when. Messages can be included, with when each was sent and first opened.

Save it, print it, share it

Pick the dates and the kinds of things to include, then save a PDF to print or send, or the raw data as a file. It's plain and dated, so your lawyer or a mediator can read it at a glance. It isn't certified, and it's not a substitute for a record your order requires.

Your plan, as working rules

Set up your schedule from your parenting plan and confirm each rule, and Luraio lays out the year: regular weeks, holidays and summer. Rules keep the paragraph they came from, so when new paperwork arrives you can check the year you're living against it. The app reflects your plan; it never interprets it.

Showing up, on the record

The pickups you made, the swaps you said yes to, the costs you covered and the school forms you kept up with all show up on your record, with dates. It's a quiet, factual picture of a parent who shows up.

A sample record, with the made-up family. Real ones look like this, plain and dated.

What's never in your record

Your memories, reflections and notes about your time with the kids stay yours. They're never in your record or in any copy of it. That's on purpose: the moments are for you and your kids, not evidence.

Using both

Plenty of families keep a court app for what their order requires and use Luraio for everything else: whose night it is, what goes in the bag, who's picking up, and what Grandma needs to know. Luraio works fully with just you, so it doesn't ask anything of the other parent.
