Who each one is best for
Choose TalkingParents if
You need tamper-proof records, especially when a court is involved or things are high-conflict. Its messages can't be edited or deleted, its records carry a digital signature and an authentication code, and its calls can be recorded without either of you sharing a phone number. If that's what you need, TalkingParents is likely the better fit.
Choose Luraio if
You want help with the schedule, swaps, handoffs, the kids' details and the people around them. Luraio works fully for one parent from day one. TalkingParents needs both parents' accounts matched before either can start.
We make Luraio, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about TalkingParents below comes from its own site or its App Store listing, and is linked. If something here is out of date, write to [email protected] and we'll fix it.

What it costs
We only quote prices from a company's own pricing page. Here, its two official pages didn't agree.

One parent is enough to use all of it.
TalkingParents
When we checked, TalkingParents' pricing page and its help center listed different plan names and prices, so we're not quoting a number. Both say each parent has their own account, and upgrading one doesn't upgrade the other.

The main differences
Starting alone. TalkingParents says you can't begin until your account is matched with your co-parent's. Luraio works with just you, and the other parent can answer a swap by link without signing up.
Changing plans. On TalkingParents each event can be changed only by the parent who made it. On Luraio you ask for a swap, and the other parent says yes or no.
Calls and payments. TalkingParents has recorded calls and payments between parents. Luraio has neither; it logs shared costs so you can see the year.
Using both. Some families keep TalkingParents for what a court requires and use Luraio for the day-to-day. That works fine.
